Since we are talking about "relational" databases and the SQL language for their creation and manipulation, but "the world is not square" there are problems to be solved that cannot be expressed, at least in a complete and coherent way, as tables  and relationships between them. We will then talk about the "noSQL" or "not-only-SQL" databases that are very much in vogue these days, so much so that they have prompted companies to create the "newSQL" to compete with the "noSQL" ones in fields of work in which before the relational bases were not used for some reason or another.
