Many Programmers think that maintenance tasks should be carried out by other IT trades and professions, such as being a network administrator, for example, and although it is partly true it is also true that there are many maintenance tasks that must and have to be carried out by Programmers who are aware of the software developed or used both by them and by the company or institution where they work.

They almost never have a separate maintenance department, and if you are an independent Freelance, then with less haste the Programmer undertakes to carry out maintenance tasks.

We will try to explain in this part of the course why it is a mistake not to worry about and take care of software maintenance by Programmers.
